Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21st, 1956) is a Canadian-born British actress popular for her part as Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. Between 2008 and 2010, she reprised the character for the movies Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Her main roles include Police Academy, Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 80s. Kim Cattrall's character on the HBO television sitcom Sex & the City is among the most memorable. The character of Samantha Jones played by noted actress Cattrall was an important moment in her professional career. The show not only increased her recognition in the national audience but made her an international celebrity, bringing the actress a lot of fame and respect. Anita Ekberg...................Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who appeared in several European as well as American films. Most famously, she is known for acting in the film La Dolce Vita, a comedy-drama. The film was awarded an Oscar and the Golden Palm by the Cannes Film Festival. The film also enjoyed commercial and critical popularity as well as critical. Her birthplace was in Skane, Sweden and was a model prior to when she embarked on her acting career. She was crowned the Miss Sweden competition. Then she moved to the US in the early 1990s, where she began to appear in various films as minor role. Her first credited role was in the film Abbott and Costello Go to Mars in which she was an Venusian guard. Her role was soon recognized with the Golden Globe award in the Most Promising Newcomer category, after playing in the film Blood Alley.
